Our wine-growing estate is located right on the Baden Wine Route in the heart of the Markgräflerland area between the popular little town of Staufen, (also known as Faust’s town) and the tranquil wine-growers’ village of Ballrechten-Dottingen. Here, a mild climate, plenty of sunny days and the fertile loamy soils of the Castellberg and Fohrenberg vineyards produce high-quality wines and vintner sparkling wines (Winzersekte) every year.

The steep terraced slopes of the picturesque rolling hills with their impressive dry masonry walls and stone steps are internationally renowned as a valuable natural and cultural heritage.
Typical Baden vines such as chasselas (Gutedel), pinot noir (Spätburgunder), pinot gris (Grauburgunder) and pinot blanc (Weißburgunder), as well as the Müller-Thurgau grape variety flourish on a vineyard area extending over 22 hectares. In addition, we cultivate orchards and produce fine brandies (Edelbrände) and liqueurs in our family-owned distillery.
